Services

Evergreen Allied Health offers high-quality paediatric occupational therapy services to children in the south-west Brisbane and Ipswich areas of Queensland, Australia. We recognise that every child is unique, so we provide personalised therapy sessions that can take place in your home, at our clinic, or at your child’s school or kindergarten.
Ways that occupational therapists (OTs) can help children include:
Developing fine motor skills
OTs can assist children in developing fine motor skills that are necessary for everyday activities such as writing, drawing, and feeding themselves
Enhancing visual perception &
visual-motor skills
OTs can help children develop visual perception and visual-motor skills required for school activities such as reading and writing.
Supporting play skills:
OTs can help children develop important play skills such as sharing, turn-taking, and imaginative play.
Promoting self-care skills:
OTs can assist children in developing self-care skills such as dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
Providing assistive technology recommendations:
OTs can assess a child’s need for assistive technology, such as specialised seating, bathing or toileting equipment, or access to communication devices, and offer tailored recommendations to support their abilities.
Executive Functioning:
OTs can assess and support children’s development of executive functioning skills including emotional regulation, organisation, planning, impulse control, working memory, attention, flexible thinking and task initiation.
Sensory Processing:
OTs can help children who have difference in how they process sensory information. This may involve assessing a child’s sensory needs and developing strategies to support them.

Funding Options
At Evergreen Allied Health, we understand that every family’s financial situation is different. That’s why we offer a variety of funding options to ensure that every child has access to the occupational therapy services they need.
NDIS
Our most common funding option is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which provides funding for people with disabilities to access support. Although we are not an NDIS registered provider, we can see NDIS clients whose plans are self-managed or plan-managed.
Medicare
We offer services covered under the Chronic Disease Management Plan funding, which allows eligible patients to receive Medicare rebates for up to five allied health services per year, including occupational therapy. This rebate usually covers a portion of your session cost. Please contact us for more information if you would like to access services using this funding.
Private Pay
We offer private pay options for families who prefer to pay for services out of pocket.
Private Health Insurance
Many private health insurance plans cover occupational therapy services. Please check with your provider to see if your plan covers our services.
At Evergreen Allied Health, we are committed to helping families access the care they need. Please contact us with any questions about funding options for our services. We are here to help you navigate the funding process and get the care your child deserves.
